Southwest Pond is located about 1 hour and 15 minutes east of Bangor Maine and the international airport, via Route 9, which is a well-maintained State highway. Boston is just under 5 hours to the south.
Beddington is the third smallest organized town in Maine and has a population of less than 100 people. Known for its wild blueberries and outdoor recreation, this is the place to disappear from the crowds. The Schoodic Peninsula is about an hour away, making a daytrip to this part of Acadia National Park an easy drive.
